THE EPARCHY OF JAGDALPUR THROUGH THE DECADES
1806	Bastar was included in the Diocese of Mylapore.
1833	Bastar became part of the Vicariate Apostolic of Madras.
1845	Bastar became part of newly erected Vicariate of Apostolic Visakhapatnam.
1966	Bastar was separated from the diocese of Visakhapatnam and added to the Apostolic Prefecture of Raipur and entrusted to the Pilar Fathers (SFX).
1972	Bastar was made an Exarchate and was entrusted to the CMI congregation and named as the Exarchate of Jagdalpur (23 March).
1972	Msgr. Paulinus Jeerakath CMI took charge as Exarch (23 March).
1972	The CMC and the SABS sisters started their service in Jagdalpur mission.
1972	Nirmal Vidyalaya, English medium school at Jagdalpur, was established.
1972	Tom Sadan Bijapur was established.
1972	Catholic Ashram at Kanker was established.
1972	Prakash Vidyalaya Kirandul was taken up by Catholic Diocese of Jagdalpur.
1973	Nirmal Ashram at Geedam was established.
1973	St Joseph Church at Bacheli was started.
1974	Deepti Bhavan at Narayanpur was established.
1974	Shanti Bhavan at Kondagaon was established.
1974	Santhwanalaya mission station at Konta was established.
1974	The first batch of CMI aspirants started their training at Jagdalpur.
1976	Deen Bandhu Samaj was founded by Mar Paulinus Jeerakath CMI at Konta.
1976	MSMI sisters started their service at Karithgaon.
1976	ASMI sisters started their service at Narayanpur.
1977	Tera Prem at Gangaloor was established.
1977	Exarchate of Jagdalpur was raised to the status of an eparchy and Mar Paulinus Jeerakath CMI was appointed its first Bishop by Pope Paul VI (26 February).
1977	Episcopal ordination of Mar Paulinus Jeerakath CMI at Mannanam (11 May).
1978	Girideep at Keskal was commenced.
1978	Asha Nivas at Adawal was commenced.
1978	Sadhu Sadan at Potanar was commenced.
1978	Jyoti Nivas at Kodagaon was established.
1978	Nazareth Ashram at Chindgarh was started.
1979	Chiurgaon, Vimal Vidyashram was formally started.
1980	St. Joseph's Church at Kirandul was blessed.
1981	Bhairamgarh mission station was established.
1982	Seva Sadan, Rajapara at Kanker station was started.
1982	SMC sisters started their service at Jagdalpur.
1982	Yesu Dhara Ashram at Sukma was started.
1983	Chavara Bhavan at Dugoli was started.
1984	Missionaries of Charity Brothers (MC) started Karuna Sadan at Kondagaon.
1984	Dewda Mission Station was started.
1984	Bhart Mata Church at Bhanupratappur was started.
1986	Chavara Ashram was established at Bande.
1987	Vimal Vidyashram School Mariguda was attacked and demolished by anti-social elements (February).
1987	Yesu Deva Ashram at Bhiragaon was started.
1990	First batch of seminarians for the Eparchy of Jagdalpur started their training at Karithgaon together with CMI aspirants.
1990	Blessing of St. Joseph's Cathedral Church at Jagdalpur.
1990	Bishop Mar Paulinus Jeerakath was called to eternal rest (06th of August).
1990	Very Rev. Fr. Kurian Macheril CMI was elected as the Diocesan Administrator.
1993	Mar Simon Stock Palathra CMI was appointed the second bishop of Jagdalpur.

1993	The episcopal ordination of Mar. Simon Stock Palathra CMI (19 March).
1993	Snehagiri Convent at Bande was blessed.
1995	St Mary’s Church at Dentewada was started.
1997	Amarjyothi Ashram at Kutni was started.
1997	Don Bosco Sisters started their service at Akkametta.
1997	MPM Hospital was established at Aghanpur.
1998	Diocesan Minar Seminary was began at Parpa.
1998	FCC sisters started their service at Keshkal.
1998	Amarjyothi Ashram at Chottebettia was started.
2000	Gurukul at Kondagaon was blessed (Diocesan Minor Seminary).
2000	MMB brothers started their service at Pakkanjore.
2000	St Alphonsa Ashram at Junawar was started.
2002	Silver Jubilee of the eparchy of Jagdalpur was celebrated.
2003	Amar Jyoti Ashram at Chottebettia has raised to the status of a Parish.
2004	A mob attacked and burned the Church in Pushnar (Bhairamgarh).
2005	Mission Station at Boregaon was established.
2006	St Alphonsa Church at Mardum was started.
2006	Jagdalpur Mission Home at Ramapuram (Kerala) was inaugurated.
2007	St Thomas Church Adawal, St Vianney Church Parpa and St Antony's Church Sukma were raised to the status of Parish.
2008	Fervent Daughters of Sacred Heart of Jesus Sisters started their service at Kapsi.
2008	Good Shepherd Parish, Aghanpur was bifurcated from St. Joseph's Cathedral.
2010	Good Shepherd Pastoral Centre, Aghanpur was blessed.
2010	Pakhanjore Mission Station has raised to the status of a Parish (Fatima Mata Church).
2012	New school at Chindgarh was opened.
2013	Mar Joseph Kollamparampil CMI was appointed the third bishop of Jagdalpur.

2013	Episcopal ordination of Mar Joseph Kollamparampil CMI (17 September).
2013	Mission station at Charama was opened.
2014	Perpetual Adoration was started at St Joseph's Cathedral Church, Jagdalpur.
2014	Vidya Jyoti School at Dewda was inaugurated.
2015	Daughters of Sacred Heart of Jesus Sisters started their service at Charama.
2015	New Church was Consecrated at Parpa.
2015	Sisters of John the Baptist started their service at Palnar.
2016	Mission Station at Antagarh was opened.
2016	New schools were opened at Antagarh and Kodagaon.
2017	New schools were opened at Potnar and Parpa.
2017	Very Rev. Fr. Kurian Macharil CMI, former Administrator of Diocese of Jagdalpur, was passed away (September 21).
2018	New Churches were consecrated at Chottebettiya
2019	New Church was Consecrated at Narayanpur.
2019	New Presbytery at Bhairamgarh was blessed.
2020	Bishop House was renovated.
2021	New Churches were consecrated at Kutni.
2022	Golden Jubilee of the Diocese of Jagdalpur (declaring it as an exarchate) was celebrated.
2022	New Churches were consecrated at Bhairamgarh and Bandam.
2022	A school in Bhairamgarh with the name Nirmal Vidyalaya was commenced.
2022	Preshitharam Sisters started their service in the Diocese.
2022	Bishop Mar Simon Stock Palathra CMI was called to eternal rest (19th of November).
2023	Mission Station at Narharpur was established.
2023	Mardum Mission Station was raised to the status of a Parish.
2023	Narayanpur Church was attacked by a mob protesting alleged religious conversions.
2023	New Churches were consecrated at Bande and Pakhanjore.
2023	A priest home (Shallom) was blessed at Aghanpur.
2024	New Churches were consecrated at Aghanpur and Gangaloor.
2024	DSJ sisters and St John of God Sisters (SCJG) started their service in the Diocese.
2025	Reorganized and expanded the territory of the Eparchy of Jagdalpur to the entire state of Chhattisgarh.
2025	The Eparchy of Jagdalpur was placed as a suffragan Eparchy under the newly erected Metropolitan Archeparchy of Ujjain.
2025	St Mary's Church Mariguda has raised to the status of a Parish (08-12-25).
2026	St Sebastian's Church Bandam has raised to the status of a Parish (08-05-26).
