The Missionaries of Charity Brothers were founded in 1963 by Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The 25th of March, Feast of theAnnunciation, was chosen as our Foundation Day. The Congregation became an Institute of Diocesan Right on 26th March 1967. On 12th June 2003, the Missionaries of Charity Brothers became an Institute of Pontifical Right. There are currently 406 Brothers in 69 communities in 21 countries. TheMCbrothers started serving the poor and the sick in and around Kondagaon in 1984 and opened Karuna Sadan.
