Houses in the Eparchy  -

With the support of Bishop Mar Sebastian Vayalil, Mr. Mathew Joseph Kalapura built the first house of the institution on 7 November 1956 at Moolamattam, Kerala. Bishop Vayalil named it as St. Martha's Institute and three of our pioneers started to live together. On 2 February 1998 this institution was raised to the status of a Religious Congregation by Pope John Paul II and came to known as St. Martha's Congregation. “The Son of man came not to be served but to serve and to give His life a ransom for many” (Mt: 20:28). We got inspiration from the very words of Jesus Christ and we are doing humble services in the society especially for women and children. Our heavenly patroness is St. Marta and our co-patrons are Mother Mary and St. Joseph. St. Marhta's Congregation follows the teaching and and example of Jesus in the footsteps of Martha of Bethany. Our main apostolate are Old age home, Women's hostel, Parish work, Social work, School, Tailoring centers, Nursery school, Press, Orphanage, Balika Bhavan Rehabilitation centre differently abled children etc. In July 1982, late Mar Paulinose Jeerakath invited us to work in the mission diocese of Jagdalpur. We started our service in August 1982. Twenty-five years we rendered our services in the Bishop's house at Jagdalpur. In 1986 we started to extend our services at Sonarpal –Devda mission station. In 2001 we started one more community at Bhanupratappur. On 9 September 2013, we started one a community at Aghanpur.
