The congregation of Malabar Missionary Brothers (MMB) was founded in Kerala, India on 16 May 1948 by Msgr. Zacharias Vazhapilly with the objective of evangelization through humble service. The Syro-Malabar Church raised the Congregation to MajorArchiepiscopal status in May 1997. In order to provide better co-ordination and easier administration, two provinces were formed: Assisi Province for North India and St. Thomas province for South India. We started our service in the Eparchy of Jagdalpur in 2000 by opening a community and a hostel for boys at Pakkanjore.
